When I have the opportunity to work with companies who are interested in providing natural, “green” products for their shoppers, it makes me very, very happy. Before doing this review, I had no idea how popular Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream was as a beauty product. Apparently, it’s “in” with celebrities, and now that I have had a chance to use it, I know why!

Before I use any product on my skin, I look at the ingredients. The Egyptian Magic Cream has the follow six ingredients: Olive Oil, Beeswax, Honey, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, and Propolis Extract. That’s it. No harsh chemicals, and no foreign substances. In fact, all six items are known for their beneficial uses in natural skincare, so it’s wonderful to have them all mixed together on one product.

Though this item is called a “skin cream,” it really has the consistency of a balm. You may compare it to Vaseline in appearance, though less greasy and much, much better for you! I have really enjoyed using Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream the last few days. It has no scent what-so-ever, goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly.

If you are a blogger who does Reviews and Giveaways, you may already know about my Giveaway site. Or, if you’ve been reading Dealafina for a while you may remember that I previously I mentioned that you can submit your Giveaways to be published on The Giveaway Gal. Giveaways are wonderful, fantastic, and everyone loves them, right? As a blogger though, it isn’t always clear to know how to start running Giveaways. As our readership grows, companies start finding us, and “pitching” us – but when we start, we find ourselves fumbling around and not knowing who can help guide us. Who will welcome contact from us, and who would be interested in working with us?

Sara of “Deal”icious Mom and I teamed up today to create a group within the Mom Bloggers Club called Pitch It To Me. (Edit 4/16/10 – We now have our own Ning!)

“Do you want to find those companies that are willing to work with bloggers? Looking for new opportunities and partnerships? Need tips or have questions about how to get started reviewing products? Want to pitch your products to some great bloggers?

Personal safety may not be something you think about every day, but either as an individual, Mom, or Dad, it is probably something that concerns you. We all want our families to be safe! I have been given the wonderful opportunity to review a few items available for purchase at Resist Attack, and offer YOU a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to purchase items of your choice!

When given a choice of items to review from Resist Attack, I wasn’t sure what to choose! They sell Personal Alarms, Home Security Products, Pepper Sprays, Stun Devices, and more. In the end I decided to try a few personal alarms, something I can use and carry with me if I choose. I received two items for review: the Electronic Pocket Whistle, and the Mace Screecher Aerosol Personal Alarm.

The Electronic Pocket Whistle, is the size of a chalk holder (yes, old reference, but that’s exactly what it looks like!) and is easy to fit in your hand, pocket, or carry with you. There is a small button on the side that is used to make the alarm sound, and I was afraid at first that throwing it in my purse would have the button accidentally discharge. That isn’t the case however, and although the button requires a direct push, it is still easy to use with a quick push of your thumb.

This alarm reaches 120 dB and would be useful as not only a personal alert device, but also in situation that would typically call for a traditional whistle (sporting events, traffic police, etc). The whistle comes with a lanyard that has a quick release clip, and there is also the metal clip on the body of the whistle to use for clipping to clothing. This sucker, is going in my purse…

The next item I tested was the Mace Screecher Aerosol Personal Alarm. Talk about a well named product! This item is the size of a traditional Mace spray, but it is an emergency alarm device. This is louder than the Pocket Whistle and has rating of 125dB. I’m not that familiar with decibel ratings, but holy cow is this thing LOUD. The package insert says it can be heard from 1/4 mile away, and I would guess that is correct. The Screecher is just as easy to use as the Pocket Whistle, and just as safe.

The best thing about BOTH of these devices is they can be used safely around children, elderly, pets, and are all around great safety devices.

The selection at Crazy Dog T-Shirts is so large, I think it took me half an hour to select one to receive for this review! Seriously!
